NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's track and field team received 10 All-Region honors in the East Region, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.
Ella Maclean was received All-Region recognition in three separate events; 60-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 4x400-meter relay.
Maria DeSouza was named the Top Regional Performer in the East Region in the pole vault.
Rachel Dube,
Dardielle Exantus,
Mackenzie Glenn,
Izzy Newbury, and Maclean are all competing in their first indoor season with Southern. Dube received All-Region honors during the 2021 outdoor season as well, while
Rachel Fleischer was also an All-Region selection in the triple jump during the 2021 outdoor season.
