The Southern Connecticut softball squad will wrap up their road conference games with two doubleheaders. On Saturday, April 23, the Owls will head to Waltham, Mass. to face Bentley, before traveling to Easton, Mass. to face Stonehill on Sunday, April 24. Bentley sits 11th in the conference standings, while Stonehill and Southern are in a footrace for the eighth spot.
All-Time Against Bentley: 28-9
The Last Time They Met: The Owls and Falcons last met in 2018, splitting a pair of games at Pelz Field. Bentley took a 12-8 win in nine innings, before Southern capped the day with a 6-4 win.
Jazmyn Martinez notched her first collegiate win against Bentley.
All-Time Against Stonehill: 21-10-1
The Last Time They Met: These two sides have not met since 2018 where the Owls swept both games of the doubleheader at home, 9-4 and 8-3. Both

Last Time Out
Southern took two hard losses to the NE10-leading Adelphi Panthers, 2-0 and 6-1, on April 20 in Garden City, N.Y.
Owl Notes
- Jacqueline Dumont has been Southern's power hitter this season. She has 10 multi-hit games so far and leads the team in hitting percentage (.383), slugging percentage (.638) and RBI (25).
- Emily Lange has been solid in the lead-off spot. The sophomore has drawn 14 walks, while recording 19 runs and 18 hits.
- Jayden Delaporta has been hot for the Owls. She is batting a career-best .329, which is second on the team, and is close to topping career-highs in every statistical category with eight games remaining in the regular season.
- Despite going hitless against Madelyn Sauve has recorded hits in three-straight games prior. The first-year player has eight hits in those 10 games, including three doubles. She has also chipped in five RBI and three runs.
- Jacqueline Dumont, Jayden Delaporta, Liz DeRosa, and Emily Lange are the only players to start and appear in all 30 games played for the Owls so far this season.
- Jazmyn Martinez is sitting on a season-high seven wins and is aiming to break that high.
Scouting Bentley
- Jordan Krause is fourth in the NE10 in hits with 41 this season, which is behind three players from the NE10's top team in Adelphi. Krause is also sixth in runs scored with 25.
- Kaileen Cain is a player to watch having hit 15 extra base hits so far this season, which is sixth in the conference. Cain is also second in homeruns in the NE10 with six and sixth in the NE10 in RBI with 27.
- Bentley is 5-5 in their last ten games. They have scored at least three runs in all but one of those games.
Scouting Stonehill
- Stonehill's player to watch will be Alexandra Hammond who has 23 hits in 27 games played. Hammond leads the team in home runs with three and runs with 15, and tied for first in doubles with five.
- There are four players on the team in double-digit RBI. Paige Wodarski leads the team with 11, while Chloe Kelly, Courtney Brochu, and May Dawes all have 10 each.
- The Skyhawks are 7-3 in their last ten games.
In the NE10
- Jacqueline Dumont is tied for fourth in home runs with five, tied for sixth in doubles with nine, tied for eighth in runs batted in with 25, sixth in slugging percentage (.638), 10th in hits with 36, seventh in batting average (.383), and tied for seventh in extra base hits (14),
- Emily Lange is tied for fourth in the conference in walks with 14 this season.
- Jayden Delaporta is tied for 11th in runs scored with 22 runs and 13th in slugging percentage (.553).
