Southern is coming off a 68-41 victory against Franklin Pierce in Rindge, N.H. on Wednesday, Jan. 4. Southern's win at Franklin Pierce was their third-straight win and fourth win in its last five games. Zoe Amalbert (Nanuet, N.Y.) led the Owls with 18 points and six assists while knocking down 4-of-6 from three-point range and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Katie Williamson (Dublin, Ireland) posted her fourth double-double of the season, totaling 14 points and 10 rebounds. Isabella Santoro (Durham, Conn.) had 11 points and five assists while Rheyna Steinauer (Oakville, Ontario) had seven points and six rebounds off the bench. The points were the first of Steinauer's career.

Scouting The Owls

• Southern is coming off an 68-41 win against Franklin Pierce in Rindge, N.H.
• In the 2021-22 season, the Owls faced Assumption twice. Southern split the games, losing against Assumption in the regular season on Jan. 15, 2022 with a score of 76-48. Six weeks later, Southern faced Assumption once again on Feb. 26, 2022 in the first round of the Northeast 10 Tournament where they beat Assumption 65-58 in overtime.
• Zoe Amalbert was tabbed to the Northeast 10 Week 7 Honor Roll on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023 after recording a double-double against AIC. She leads the team in her averages of points (13.6) and assists (5.1). She also posts a team best average of three-pointers per game with 1.9 and steals with 1.6. Amalbert also notches five rebounds.
• Katie Williamson posted her fourth double-double of the season in the Owl's last game against Franklin Pierce. She leads the team in rebounds with 7.8. Williamson also records 11.6 points and 1.5 assists.
• Isabella Santoro clocks in with 9.6 points per game while grabbing 5.1 rebounds.
• Delaney Connors (West Hartford, Conn.) averages ten points, 4.1 assists, and 5.8 rebounds.
• Ashley Evans (Londonderry, N.H.) records 6.4 points per game and 4.2 rebounds.
• Rheyna Steinauer recorded seven points in the Owls' win at Franklin Pierce, along with six rebounds to provide a boost from the bench. The points are the first of her career.
