Southern Connecticut men's basketball returns to action after an 11-day layoff when it travels to Lakewood, N.J. to take on Georgian Court on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 1 p.m. The Owls enter the game on the heels of three-straight wins, against AIC, Saint Rose and Pace, and stand at 6-2 on the season.

Notes: Josh McGettigan, a graduate transfer from Saint Rose, is averaging a team-high 18.9 points per game as well as 6-6 rebounds while shooting 52% (52-100) from the floor and 45.1% (23-51) from three-point range. McGettigan enters the weekend with three-straight 20-point, seven-rebound games … Kazell Stewart is averaging 12.5 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, as well as almost two blocks per game. In his last two games, Stewart had 17 points and nine rebounds, with four assists and four blocks, against Saint Rose and followed with a 17 point, eight rebound outing at nationally-ranked Pace, in which he also had two blocks and three steals … Marty Silvera is averaging 13.8 points, 6.9 assists and 2.4 steals per game as well as 4.8 rebounds. Against Pace, Silvera had nine points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
