BOSTON, Mass. - Southern Connecticut men's indoor track & field came in second place in the 4x400 relay at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University. The "A" relay of
Max Musial,
Sam Sandler,
Nolan Freeman and
Hunter Dale crossed the finish line with a time of 3:17.45.
600 Meters Run
The Owls dominated the 600 Meter Run as they top five of the top nine spots. Hunter Dale finished third with a career-best time of 1:20.73 while Jack Mulcunry was fourth at 1:21.18. Marquis Whyte followed at 1:21.36 for fifth place while Besufekad Opstrup finished seventh at 1:23.07, which was also a career-best. Matthew Kilmer was ninth at 1:26.00 while Aiden Medina clocked in at 1:29.96.
300 Meters Run
Nolan Freeman came in fifth place overall with a personal-best time of 34.74 while Sam Sandler finished in ninth place with a time of 35.10 and Ty Phelan crossed the finish line with a time of 35.18. There were five Owls who finished in the top 20 as Matthew Gibbs finished at 35.36, Max Musial finished at 35.52, Riley Bjornberg finished in 35.75, Rocco Samoker crossed the line at 35.85 and Noah Conrod finished at 36.04. Eduardo Cuello Briones finished at 36.75 and Connor Seabrooks finished at 37.25.
60 Meter Hurdles
Junior Jared Russo recorded a time of 10.95 in the 60 meter hurdles race.
3000 Meters Run
Jonathan Volpe finished with a career-best time of 8:15.70 in the 3000 meter race.
5000 Meters Run
William Lamburn crossed the finish line with time of 14:55.18, which is a career-best for the junior.
4x400 Relay
The "B" relay team of Ty Phelan, Marquis Whyte, Matthew Gibbs and Osaretin Osagie finished at 3:25.92 in sixth place.
