Southern Connecticut women's basketball will honor Zoe Amalbert (Nanuet, N.Y.), Delaney Connors (West Hartford, Conn.), Blake Greer (Victoria, Minn.), Alexa Kellner (Stamford, Conn.) and Isabella Santoro (Durham, Conn.) for Senior Night on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023. The Owls will host Assumption at 5:30 p.m., with Senior Night festivities slated for the start of the game. Southern enters the game with a record of 16-9 overall and 11-8 in the Northeast 10 Conference while Assumption is 22-4 overall and 15-4 in conference play.

Northeast 10 Conference Tournament
At 11-8, the Owls have clinched home court for the first round of the Northeast 10 Conference Tournament and will host the game on Friday, Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. at James Moore Field House. Admissions for the event will be $10 for adults and $5 for youth (under 18) and seniors while all NE10 students, with valid ID, will be admitted free of charge. As seeding will not be solidified until the conclusion of the regular season, on Tuesday, Feb. 21, Owls fans should refer to SCSUOwls.com for updates.
2023 Seniors
Southern will honor Zoe Amalbert, Delaney Connors, Blake Greer, Alexa Kellner and Isabella Santoro for Senior Day.
Amabert has played in 52 games for the Owls after transferring to SCSU from the New York Institute of Technology. Amalbert has notched recognition from the Northeast 10 five times in her career at Southern on the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll. She averaged 13.4 points in the past two seasons along with 5.4 assists while shooting 33% from three-point range. This past season, Amalbert led the team in points averaging 13.9. Amalbert recorded a double double against American Int'l on Dec. 31, 2023 where she notched a season-high 23 points and 11 rebounds.
Delaney Connors has played in 51 games for the Owls after transferring from Mount Saint Mary's University (MD) where she played two seasons. She averaged 10.3 points since she joined the team for her first season in 2021 and has 3.2 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game. The NE10 has honored her on the Weekly Honor Roll two times. In just her second game with the Owls on Nov. 14, 2021 Connors recorded a double double of 17 points and 12 rebounds. She notched another the following season against American Int'l on Dec. 31, 2023 off 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Blake Greer has played in 49 games and has averaged 1.3 points per game during her career with the Owls. At first year at Southern, Greer made four starts and played in 23 games off the bench. She notched a career-high of 12 points on Nov. 10, 2019 against Bloomfield.
Alexa Kellner has registered 76 games with the Owls, starting in 30. She records 6.1 as her career-average of points and 3.4 rebounds. During her first year as an Owl after transferring to SCSU from UMass-Amherst in the 2019-20 season, Kellner started in all 28 games with an average of 9.4 points. In 2020, Kellner notched her career-high in points against Franklin Pierce on Jan. 22 with a total count of 22 points.
Isabella Santoro is one of the Owls' newest additions to the squad transferring in from Stonehill College in the current 2022-23 season. She has started in all 24 games for the Owls and has acquired an average of 11.1 points per game with 5.6 rebounds. Santoro has recorded a double-double twice in her career at Southern. The first featured 10 points and 12 rebounds against American Int'l on Dec. 31, 2023. Most recently Santoro has recorded a double-double against Saint Michael's on Jan. 10, 2023 with 15 points and 10 rebounds. In a recent game against Franklin Pierce on Feb. 15, Santoro recorded her season-high of points with 24.
