SCSU Athletics & Recreation Announces Re-Launch Of SCSUOwls.com With SIDEARM Sports

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University Athletics & Recreation has extended its partnership with SIDEARM Sports as the Owls' Offiicial Website provider through 2028. SCSU Athletics & Recreation and SIDEARM Powered by Learfield will launch the new SCSUOwls.com on Thursday, Sept. 5, 2024 to coincide with the start of the Owls' 2024-25 athletic schedule.  
 
"We've enjoyed a great relationship with SIDEARM since 2007 and look forward to continuing our work with the industry leader," Associate Director of Athletics for Athletic Communications Ken Sweeten said. "In the ever-evolving world of communications, SCSU Athletics & Recreation strives to be at the top of the digital world in order to best represent our incredible student-athletes. The new SCSUOwls.com enables us to do that."

SCSUOwls.com features a mobile-friendly responsive design that incorporates all of the website's features including multimedia links, news and scores as well as social media content, highlight reels and photo galleries. The site was designed over the Summer with the goal of making those features easily accessible.  

"SCSUOwls.com boasts a new, clean look that we hope will present a new-and-improved user experience. Our composite schedule is now at the top of our mobile site, making it easier for our fans, families and friends to find links to watch their favorite Owls' teams. With the Northeast-10 Conference's media agreement with FloSports, we moved links for live video to the top of the page for easier access," Sweeten said.

Southern Connecticut State University Athletics & Recreation is comprised of  500-plus strong, across 19 varsity NCAA Division II sports and more than 300 undergraduate students competing in club sports, every year. We come from 21 states, Puerto Rico and 12 different countries. We're more than just a number on a roster in the program.
