Patrice Mansfield Records #2 Time in 60m Hurdles in Program History at Yale Season Opener

Southern Connecticut women's indoor track & field kicked off the 2025-26 season, competing at Boston University's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener and the Yale Season Opener.

At Yale, Patrice Mansfield placed 2nd in the 60m Hurdles, recording the second-fastest time in program history at 8.60. The time was over a tenth of a second faster than Mansfield's previous best finish. Mansfield now holds the second-best times in program history in the 55m Hurdles and 60m Hurdles.

2025 East Region Indoor Field Athlete of the Year Belle Smith started the season strong, winning the Shot Put and finishing second in the Weight Throw. At BU, Hannah Caiola led the way with a second-place finish in the 300m, the event in which she holds the NCAA DII Record. Courtney Henchcliffe PR'd in the 5000m, improving her position as third-best in program history. Across the two meets, the Owls recorded seven top-five finishes.
