SCSU Women's Indoor Track & Field Lead Conference After Day 1 of 2025 NE10 Indoor Track & Field Championships

BOSTON, Mass. - Southern Connecticut Women's Indoor Track & Field leads the conference after Day 1 of the 2025 Northeast-10 Indoor Track & Field Championships. They sit at 77 points, with Franklin Pierce in second at 33.50. 



TRACK
5000m
Kimberly Moran won the 5000m, running a time of 18:27.59. PJ Dauphinais followed in third with a time of 18:40.47. Emilie Noreika placed fifth at 19:03.47. 

4000 Distance Medley Relay
The Owls' 4000m DMR team of Briana Grecco, Patrice Mansfield, Abigail Bajorek, and Megan Whitnell finished  second with a time of 12:55.27.

60m Hurdles Preliminary
Patrice Mansfield qualified for tomorrow's 60m Hurdles Final, placing third with a time of 9.00. Johniece Jones placed 13th, running 9.73, and Joelle Budz finished at 10.19, good for 15th place. 

60m Dash Preliminary
Ella Maclean led the pack in the 60m Dash as one of three Owls to qualify for the finals. Maclean's time of 7.66 was the fastest time of the day. Dardielle Exantus placed sixth with a time of 8.01, and Mackenzie Glenn was right behind in seventh at 7.92, a personal best. Patrice Mansfield finished in 12th with a time of 8.09.  

400m Dash Preliminary
Hannah Caiola held the top time in the 400m Dash prelims, running a 56.54, which meets the NCAA Division II Qualifying Mark. Avery Winters also advanced to the finals with the second fastest time, running 57.87. Megan Swan and Cali Beebe just missed out in ninth and 10th respectively. Swan finished with a time of 59.54, and Beebe finished at 1:00.29, a personal best. Lindsay Drozd finished in 16th with a personal best time of 1:02.21, and Brianna Cole finished in 22nd with a time of 1:03.39.

800m Run Preliminary
Leticia DoNascimento and Julia Mansfield both advanced to the 800m Run Finals. DoNascimento finished with a time of 2:21.27, good for third-fastest, and Mansfield finished right behind in fourth at 2:21.40. 

200m Dash Preliminary
Southern took home four of the top five spots in the 200m Dash, occupying half of the spots in tomorrow's final. Hannah Caiola led the pack in first with a time of 24.73, which meets the NCAA Division II Qualifying Mark. Ella Maclean was right behind in second at 25.04, and Avery Winters followed in third at 25.12. Megan Swan was the final qualifier in fifth at 25.45, a personal best. 

In the same event, Dardielle Exantus finished 11th with a time of 26.04. Joelle Budz recorded a time of 26.89, good for 18th place, and Cali Beebe placed 20th at 27.08, a personal best. Lindsay Drozd rounded out the pack in 22nd with a personal best time of 27.60. 

FIELD
Pole Vault
Maddie Hathorn won her second-straight NE10 Indoor Pole Vault title, clearing 3.25m (10' 8") to secure first place. She beat the next closest competitor by exactly one foot. 

Weight Throw
Belle Smith won the Weight Throw, throwing 16.27m (53' 4.5"). That throw was almost a meter and a half farther than second place. Celine Bozukluian also scored in the event, finishing in sixth place with a personal best throw of 14.16m (46' 5.5"). Sydney Dolbier placed 12th, throwing 13.02m (42' 8.75"), and Valerie Torres placed 14th, throwing 12.88m (42' 3.25"), both personal bests. Darla Jagrosse rounded out the pack in 20th with at throw of 11.45m (37' 6.75"), also a personal best.

Long Jump
The Owls took home silver and bronze in the Long Jump. Kisha Francois placed second with a jump of 5.70m (18' 8.50"), coming one centimeter short of first place. Her jump met the NCAA Division II Qualifying standard. Mackenzie Glenn grabbed third place with a jump of 5.60m (18' 4.5"). Delaney Speed scored in sixth, jumping 5.26m (17' 3.25"). Uliana Pokutnia placed 19th with a mark of 4.54m (14' 10.75"). 

Pentathlon
Bella Sorrentino took home the bronze in the Pentathlon with a personal best score of 3001. Ginny Mullen placed sixth, scoring 2867, also a personal best. In the 60m Hurdles, Sorrentino placed third with a personal best time of 9.25, with Mullen right behind in fourth at 9.40. Mullen placed third in the High Jump, clearing 1.51m (4' 11.5"), a personal best height, and Sorrentino placed 10th at 1.39m (4' 6.75"). Sorrentino won the Shot Put with a throw of 10.78m (35' 4.5"), and Mullen placed 12th at 7.76m (25' 5.5"), also a personal best. Sorrentino jumped 4.65m (15' 3.25") in the Long Jump, good for sixth place, and Mullen placed ninth at 4.34m (14' 3"). Mullen won the 800m Run with a personal best time of 2:34.73, with Sorrentino not far behind in fourth with a time of 2:38.15.
