NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut women's basketball will play in the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Tournament for the first time since 2018. The fifth seed, Owls will be playing in the NCAA East Regional on Friday, March 14 against fourth seed and NE10 opponent, Saint Anselm at 7:30 p.m. in Waltham, Massachusetts.

2024-25 Season Notes:
  • Started off the season with a seven-game win streak, which was the longest season-opening win streak since the Owls' 2007 National Championship season.
  • Scored the most points (112) by any team in an NE10 game this season. Scored the second-most points in an NE10 game this season (105) by a women's team.
  • Broke and matched five program records in a single game against Bloomfield: scored the most points in program history (112), tied for the most assists in a single game (34), second all-time in made field goals in a single game (46), third all-time in single game field-goal percentage (55%) and tied for fourth all-time with three-point percentage (57.1%).
  • Ranked first in the NE10 in scoring offense with an average of 69.9 points per game and ranked first in the NE10 in team free-throw percentage with 79%.
  • Finished the regular season with an overall record of 19-10, an NE10 record of 11-9 and a non-conference regular season record of 7-0.
SCSU vs. Saint Anselm History
  •  This is the first meeting between the Owls and the Hawks in the NCAA Tournament. All-time, the Owls have a 19-15 series record against the Hawks.
  • This will be the third time that Saint Anselm and Southern Connecticut will face each other this season, as the Hawks have defeated the Owls, twice, with both games determined by less than six points.
  •  Saint Anselm recorded a close 67-63 victory on Dec. 7 and in the final regular season game at the Moore Field House, the Hawks pulled off an 80-75 overtime win over the Owls.

  • Against Assumption, she dominated the floor for the Owls, as she grabbed a team-best of eight boards, had a team-best of seven steals, dished out four assists, scored four points and was 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.
