SCSU Cheer and Dance Finish 4th At UCA/UDA Cheer and Dance National Championships

Southern Connecticut State University Cheer and Dance proudly represented the University at the UCA/UDA Cheer and Dance National Championships, held January 16–19, 2026 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. Competing together in the Open Spirit Gameday division, Cheer and Dance combined their talents, preparation, and school spirit on the national stage.

After making program history in 2025 with their first-ever appearance in this category and a 5th-place national finish, the team returned in 2026 determined to raise the bar. Their hard work paid off, as SCSU improved its standing to a 4th-place finish nationally, narrowly missing the national championship by just a few points behind perennial powerhouse Long Island University.

This achievement reflects the continued growth, dedication, and competitive excellence of SCSU Cheer and Dance, marking another milestone for the programs and the University on the national stage.
