SCSU Women’s Swimming and Diving in the Lead Through Day Three of NE10 Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Southern Connecticut women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the third day of NE10 Championships, still in first place with a total of 660.5 points. The Owls picked up four medals, which included two gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal.
 
400 Yard Individual Medley 
Emma St. Hilaire got the Owls on the board with a win in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 4:31.87. Aralyn Vogel finished 4th at 4:38.46 while Claire Hanna finished sixth with a time of 4:39.96.

100 Yard Butterfly
Julia Pitchell took Silver in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 57.07. Jasmine Uricchio finished 4th at 57.98 while Kali Dominguez was 6th at 59.43.

200 Yard Freestyle
Molly Kennedy captured her third-straight 200 Yard Freestyle Championship and did so by finishing almost three seconds faster than the Silver Medal winner. Zoe McNeill finished 5th with a time of 1:56.64.

100 Yard Breaststroke 
Ally Quitos won the Bronze Medal in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:07.16 while Ellynn Baker was 4th at 1:07.19.

100 Yard Backstroke 
Julia Pitchell finished 4th in the 100 Backstroke event with a time of 59.44 followed by Reina Loiacano in 8th place at 1:01.90. Zoe McNeil was 9th at 1:00.46.
 
200 Yard Medley Relay
The "A" relay team of Ally Quitos, Kali Dominguez, Reina Loiacano and Julia Pitchell came in fourth place in a time of 1:49.17.
The "B" relay team of Zoe McNeill, Ellynn Baker, Jasmine Uricchio and Aralyn Vogel came in 11th place in a time of 1:50.42.
 
The Owls will return to the final day of NE10 Championship action tomorrow with the 1,650 freestyle, 200-yard backstroke, 100-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, 200-yard butterfly, 3-meter women's diving finals and the 400-yard freestyle relay.
