Molly Kennedy Selected To Compete In 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving National Championships

Southern Connecticut State University junior Molly Kennedy was selected to compete in the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving National Championships, as announced by the NCAA on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026. The championships will be held March 10-14 in Evansville, Indiana.

Kennedy qualified for the 100 Freestyle event with a conference record time of 52.50 at this year's NE10 Championships. She'll also compete in the 100 Free and 200 Free. The Owls' junior qualified for the race with the 20th best time in the country. 

In qualifying for one event, Kennedy also posted times in the 50 Free and 200 Free that placed her in position to ean an invite to compete. She ranked 33rd of 41 swimmers in the 50 Free with a time of 23.42 and in the 200 Free with a time of 1:51.22, which ranked 31st out of 49 invited. 

In three seasons, Kennedy has already compiled an impressive resume. The 2023-24 NE10 Rookie of the Year and the winner of the 2024-25 and 2025-26 NE10 Most Outstanding Swimmer of the Meet award, Kennedy has won 20 Gold Medals for NE10 titles while also winning a Silver in 21 career championships.
