Southern Connecticut State University maintains an outstanding intercollegiate athletic program for men and women, recognizing the needs of students in individual and team sports. Southern has had 10 team NCAA champions and ranks among the top 10 of Division II colleges and universities with 81 individual championships .

In addition to championships, Southern Connecticut boasts a long and proud athletic tradition that includes more than 1,200 All-America selections across all sports programs.
