Michael Chamoures

Michael Chamoures is in his first season with the Southern Connecticut State football program in 2016. He will coach the team's wide receivers.

Prior to his arrival at Southern Connecticut, he was the Offensive Coordinator and wide receivers coach for three seasons at West Virginia Wesleyan from 2013-2015.

Chamoures earned his start in college football working as a student assistant at West Virginia University from 2007-09. After graduation, he began his coaching career at Western Connecticut State University working with the safeties in 2009. Chamoures then served as a graduate assistant coach at West Virginia University for two seasons from 2010-2011. He also spent one season at the University of Arizona as a Defensive Assistant in 2012.

Chamoures earned his undergraduate degree in Athletic Coaching Education from West Virginia University in 2009. He went on to earn his master’s degree in Athletic Coaching Education, also from West Virginia in 2012. He played high school football at New Fairfield High School in Connecticut.

He currently resides in Shelton, Conn. with his wife Mara.
