Rachiem Monroe

Former Owl Rachiem Monroe is an assistant football coach at Southern Connecticut State University and will coach the team's cornerbacks.

Monroe played for the Owls in 2004 after transferring from the University of South Carolina. He made an immediate impact on a club that posted an 8-2 mark and individually took home All-Northeast-10 honors. During the 2004 campaign, Monroe ranked second in the NE-10 and 11th in the NCAA in passes defended.

Monroe spent four years at USC (including a redshirt campaign in 2001) and played for the legendary Lou Holtz. He played for the Gamecocks as a true freshman and was a part of two Outback Bowl victories, both over Ohio State.
