An All-America offensive tackle for the Owls, Ron Lecointe is in his 10th season as defensive line coach.
Over the course of the past nine seasons, Lecointe has played an instrumental role in developing players. At least one defensive lineman has earned All-Northeast-10 honors in each of the past nine years. Lecointe also coached the 2005 NE-10 Defensive Lineman of the Year, Rashard Howard.
As an undergraduate, he was a two-time all-New England Division II selection in 1990 and 1991, serving as co-captain as a senior. Lecointe garnered Kodak/Coaches All-America honors in his senior season.
Lecointe earned his bachelor’s degree from SCSU.
A native of the Bronx, N.Y., Lecointe also serves as Dean of Students at Hyde Leadership High School of Greater New Haven.
Lecointe is the father of a son, Eric.
