Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

C.J. Moran is an assistant swim coach and recruiting coordinator at Southern Connecticut State.

Moran graduated from Southern Connecticut in 2000 with a bachelor's degree in social work. He was a four-year swimmer for the Owls from 1995-99.

He served as volunteer swim coach from 1999-2000 and assistant swim coach from 2000-01, 2002-05 and 2015 to present, serving as acting head coach at the 2026 NCAA championships. As an assistant, he has been part of three Metropolitan Conference team championships and 19 Northeast 10 Conference team championships. He works with all swimmers on the team and volunteers at SCSU career fairs and Week of Welcome.

Moran grew up in Cheshire, Connecticut, and lives in Naugatuck.
