Christine Akcer is in her third year as an assistant softball coach at Southern Connecticut State University in 2018-19.
Akcer was a four-year member at Eastern Connecticut State University, graduating in 2013. In her time at ECSU, she led the team to four consecutive Little East Conference Regular season championships and three consecutive Little East Conference Tournament Championships. She also led ECSU to two Regional championships along with two NCAA DIII World Series Championships appearances.
In addition, she has works as both an instructor and coach at the Integrated Sports Training and Kids Sport Zone in Norwalk, Conn. Akcer has also served as the Staples High School Assistant Softball Coach.
Akcer holds a bachelor's in Sport and Leisure Management from ECSU and a master's in Sport Management from SNHU.
