Former Owls' standout Nicole Buch is in her first season as an assistant coach with the Owls.
Buch, a 2015 SCSU grad and four-year starting shortstop, will transition from a playing to coaching role this year. She was a part of some of the most successful seasons in school history during her career, including the 2012 College World Series team. Buch earned All-Conference honors as a junior and senior.
Buch holds the SCSU single-season records for walks and on-base percentage, and is the program’s career-leader in walks. She also ranks fourth in school history with 41 stolen bases.
