Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

Matt Almeida is in his seventh year as an assistant athletic trainer at Southern Connecticut State University in 2018-19.

Almeida earned his bachelor's degree from Southern Connecticut State, where he was also a student-athlete on the men's track and field team. He completed his master's degree at California University (Pa.).

In addition to his experience at SCSU, Almeida has also served as an athletic trainer with the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program, Region 1, since 2013.
