Siobhan Gilmore joined Southern Connecticut State University’s athletics department as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in 2023-24.
In her first year at Southern, Gilmore was the primary contact for volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, women’s basketball, women’s gymnastics and women’s lacrosse. Gilmore was instrumental in game-day operations such as in-game statistics, game recaps, social media coverage and game-day/final score graphics for various teams. In addition, she would publish stories and graphics for the NE10 Weekly Honor Roll recipients on SCSUOwls.com each week.
Prior to SCSU, Gilmore graduated with a bachelor’s degree in writing, editing and publishing with minors in communication and gender studies in May of 2023 from Emmanuel College.
During her undergraduate degree, Gilmore gained athletic communications experience as an Athletic Communications Intern at Simmons University. She updated student-athlete biographies regularly, helped in the set-up and break down of home games, assisted with live statistics, posted in-game social media highlights and wrote post-game recaps for multiple teams.
Gilmore resides in her hometown of Waterbury, Connecticut.
