Before Southern Connecticut: 

• Academic All-State selection. 

• Three-time state champion in the 200 freestyle. 

• Two-time Triple Impact Award.

• Team Highlights: Helped team to 4 back-to-back state championships. 

• Academic Honors: Part of the National Honor Society, Business Honor Society, and earned Merit Distinction. AP scholar with Honors.  

At Southern Connecticut: 

• As a Freshman: NE10 Championship 2nd place 1650 freesytle (17:54.54), NE10 Championship 4th place 500 freestyle (5:13.08), Two-time NE10 Women's Swimming Rookie of the Year, SCSU Women's Rookie of the Year. 

• As a Junior: NE10 Championship 3rd place 1000 freestyle (10:41.47), NE10 Championship 4th place 1650 freestyle (17:59.18). 

Why Southern: 

• "The community this school provided, the amazing coaching staff and team atmosphere, and the chance to live in a different environment than I grew up in.." 

Personal: 

• Major: Economics. 

• Favorite TV show is New Girl and favorite movie is Murder Mystery. 

• Favorite food is Ice cream or butternut squash soup and favorite ice cream is Mint Chocolate Chip. 

• Says wearing the SCSU logo means, "Being part of something bigger, something that means working hard, being proud of your accomplishments, and being part of a community that values kindness, hard work, and joy." 

• Proudest accomplishment: Life wise, moving out east to college. It was scary and daunting but I've made some of my best friends out here and this team is everything. Swimming wise, winning SCSU women's rookie of the year for my freshman year. To have my dedication be recognized was incredible and it made me believe that I really can do anything.. 

• Post-SCSU goal: Continue with my masters in data analytics and move back west to be closer to my family and enjoy hiking and skiing and living outside again.. 

• Fun Fact: I started swimming when I was 11 because I was terrified of competing. When I joined my first team I couldn't even do a flip turn. I also never thought I would be a distance swimmer, I was recruited for my 100 and 200 freestyle, but I have yet to swim those events at conference (besides the 200 in the 800 fr relay) and I probably never will; and I'm ok with that!. 

• Best concert: The Lumineers and Hozier on back to back nights!
