Eddie Castano is an assistant coach with the Southern Connecticut State volleyball program. He joined the Owls with extensive experience at the club and scholastic level, as well as with USA Volleyball.
His experience with USA Volleyball includes roles as a coach and evaluator across several different platforms. No stranger to the state volleyball landscape, Castano was the head coach for the Connecticut Volleyball Academy, along with Coginchaug Regional High School, where he led the team to berths in the state and conference tournament for the first time in nearly a decade. He also served as an assistant coach at Hamden High School and has additional club experience in New Jersey, California and South Carolina.
Castano possesses bachelor's in forensic psychology and a bachelor's in criminal justice from the University of New Haven. He also completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling (track to receive a License in Professional Counseling) from SCSU.
Castano is a member of the American Psychological Association, the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society for Counselors.
