A standout for the Owls in volleyball and softball as an undergraduate, Jessica Hernandez is in her fifth season as an assistant volleyball coach at Southern Connecticut State University.
She played both volleyball and softball for four seasons as an Owl, serving two seasons as a volleyball captain and was a softball captain as a senior.
The Milford, Conn. native, who played three sports at Foran High, earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Southern in 2005. She is a physical education teacher at Bear Path School in Hamden and has coached at the Woodbridge Volleyballl Center.
Hernandez currently resides in Milford, Conn.
