Andrew Marullo serves as associate director of athletics and recreation at Southern Connecticut State University, where he oversees recreation and fitness programs.
Marullo has led Campus Recreation at Southern since 2016 and has been affiliated with the university since 2005. He oversees the Fitness Center, club sports, intramural sports, open recreation, open swim, group exercise, Blue Crew and the Esports Lounge, as well as student employment, graduate interns, programming, student engagement, facility oversight and special events.
He also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Recreation, Tourism and Sport Management program, teaching leadership.
Marullo earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science in 2010 and a master's degree in recreation administration in 2014, both from Southern Connecticut. He holds certifications through the International Sports Sciences Association as a personal trainer and nutritionist and is a member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA). He serves on the university's Homecoming and Commencement committees.
Marullo played rugby at Southern from 2005-10 and coached rugby from 2014-17.
