Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

Eliana Tolentino is in her third year as graduate intern for recreation programming and marketing at Southern Connecticut State.

Tolentino graduated from Southern Connecticut in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a concentration in mental health and is pursuing a master's degree in school counseling.

She oversees planning and promotion of campus recreation programs and NCAA tailgates while leading digital media and marketing efforts, including photo and video content for club sports, intramurals and special events. She manages the department's Instagram and Facebook platforms and collaborates with Student Involvement, Wellbeing and Residence Life to support campus-wide programs.

Tolentino was named Owl Awards Club Sport Leader of the Year in 2023 and Club Sport Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2024. She is a member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA), the National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) and Chi Sigma Iota, the counseling academic and professional honor society, and serves as a teaching assistant for REC 120.

Tolentino played volleyball for 12 years, can play acoustic guitar, loves musical theatre and enjoys drawing and painting.
