Jay Turiano enters his 10thth year as Assistant Coordinator of Athletic Facilities at Southern Connecticut State University in 2025-26. In addition to his role with SCSU Athletic's Facilities and Operations, Turiano is also an advisor to Southern's Student-Athlete Advisory Committe (S.A.A.C.) and also as the department's academic support specialist.Â
Turiano, a 2013 SCSU graduate, returned to his alma mater after spending two years as Assistant Athletic Director at Fairfield Prep. In this role, he handled an array of duties including event management, fiscal management, scheduling, compliance, media relations, equipment and ticketing.
He was a graduate assistant in the Fairfield University athletic department from 2013-14 while pursuing a master's degree in communication, which he completed in May, 2016. Turiano also handled numerous responsibilities for the Stags, including game operations, equipment management and purchasing.
Turiano was a four-year member of the athletic staff as a student worker during his undergraduate career at SCSU.Â
He currently resides in Shelton, Conn. with his wife Kathleen.
