Southern Connecticut State University Athletics

Sheldon Gargano is an assistant football coach at Southern Connecticut State, coaching the defensive line.

Gargano is a former Owl defensive end who joined the staff after his playing career at SCSU. He appeared in three games as a sophomore in 2022 and totaled six tackles.

Gargano is from East Haven, Connecticut, where he earned All-Conference and a Sportsmanship Award at Jonathan Law High School. 

He now works with the Owls' defensive front, focusing on technique, run defense and pass rush development.
