Former Owls linebacker Jack Cooper enters his second season as an assistant coach with the Southern Connecticut State University football team in 2015. He serves as the team's special teams coordinator, recruiting coordinator and will coach the defensive backs.
Cooper previously coached defensive backs at Salve Regina during the 2013 season.
As an Owl, Cooper capped his collegiate career by leading the team with 72 tackles (45 solo) en route to All-Conference honors as a senior. He also paced the club with three fumble recoveries and two forced fumbles. Cooper also contributed three quarterback hurries, three passes defended and had two interceptions, the final of which provided the winning touchdown in a 13-10 victory over Stonehill in the season finale.
