NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Members of the Southern Connecticut State University gymnastics program were among the numerous volunteers who took part in Southern Day of Service on Saturday. The Southern Day of Service is a day designated annually for Southern students, faculty and staff to gather in the local community and work side by side on a service project that benefits humanity. Volunteers broke up into teams and participated in various events ranging from painting to picking up litter.
