The Southern Connecticut State University athletic department hosted a 'Play 4 The Cure' event today in conjunction with its field hockey game against St. Anselm. The Owls did their part on the field with a convincing 3-1 victory. In addition, the team and coaching staff participated in a post-game hair coloring event with assistance from the future professionals at the North Haven Academy Paul Mitchell Partner School. October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Owls raised awareness for breast cancer and donations for the Susan G. Komen Foundation through today's event.
