Softball Team Concludes Fall Work With ‘Paws To Read’ Program

The softball program concluded its work with the 'Paws to Read' program for the fall semester this past weekend. The Owls spent five Saturdays during the fall reading to and working with local youngsters.
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University softball team concluded its five-week stint with the 'Paws To Read' program this past Saturday. Every other Saturday from Sept. 27 through this past weekend, the Owls teamed up with Alek, a Delta Society Certified Therapy dog and his handler, Isabel Beeman, to read age appropriate books to youngsters and then complete a seasonally appropriate art project.
