NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A semester-long coat and clothing drive came to a close on Friday, as nearly 500 gently-used and new items were donated to the Springfield (Mass.) Rescue Mission. Over the course of the past three months, Southern Connecticut State University student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans dropped off the items to either the Athletic Communications office or the field hockey/lacrosse office. The items will be distributed by the Rescue Mission to those in need during the holiday season.
