NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Members of the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team participated in a community service initiative today at Truman Elementary School in New Haven. Players from the team took time to provide skill instruction and helped the students develop proper techniques for the sport on skills including passing, serving and spiking. After teaching the different approaches, the volleyball members teamed up with the students and took on the students' mentors in a friendly volleyball game.
