NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Members of the Southern Connecticut State University softball team will participate in the 'Paws To Read' program at the New Haven Public Library again this fall. In this program, the Owls team up with Alek, a Delta Society Certified Therapy dog and his handler, Isabel Beeman, to read age appropriate books to youngsters and then complete a seasonally appropriate art project.

The Owls are scheduled to appear every other Saturday during the fall, beginning on Sept. 27. The event will run from 2-3:30 p.m.
