NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team will host a pair of events for its Feb. 14 and Feb. 18 games in support of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's 'Pink Zone' initiative. The Owls will once again be one of only a selected few across the nation that will wear pink uniforms. In addition, there will be several promotional ventures for the games, including giveaways for all fans at the Feb. 14 game against Stonehill and the Feb. 18 game against Bentley. The event was known as 'Think Pink' prior to the start of this season.

The annual 'Pink Zone' Initiative promotes heightened awareness for breast cancer within the sport of women's basketball, on college campuses and in the general community. SCSU was one of more than 800 programs from across the nation that participated in this cause last year.
