LOWELL, Mass. – Sophomore forward Trevon Hamlet (Brooklyn, N.Y.) finished with 16 points and eight rebounds but the Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team dropped an 83-54 decision to UMass-Lowell on Saturday afternoon. 

The Owls are now 10-9 overall and 7-8 in Northeast-10 Conference action. UML moved to 13-6, 9-6 in league action. 

Greg Langston (Stratford, Conn.) was the only other Owl in double figures, as he finished with 14 points. 

The Owls are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to LeMoyne.
