NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University women's basketball team will host a pair of events for its Feb. 16 game against Adelphi and Feb. 19 game against Saint Rose in support of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's 'Pink Zone' initiative. The Owls will once again be one of only a selected few across the nation that will wear pink uniforms. In addition, there will be several promotional ventures for Wednesday's game. The first 100 fans in attendance who bring two recyclable bottles will receive a free t-shirt as part of the campus-wide 'Recyclemania' effort, while there will also be product sampling courtesy of Coca-Cola. Saturday's contest is Senior Day, and the Owls will recognize their seniors prior to the game. Start times are set for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The WBCA Pink Zone® initiative is a global, unified effort for the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) nation of coaches to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond.
