Senior
Courtney Silva (Burnsville, Minn.) took home the top spot in the 200 yard breaststroke with a winning time of 2:36.90. Her teammate, junior
Christina Lavery (West Haven, Conn.), finished right behind her in second place, touching in 2:39.64.
The 500 yard freestyle saw the Owls sweep the top-three spots. Sophomore
Katherine Crochet (Waterbury, Conn.) won the event with a time of 5:35.34, senior
Rachel Smolensky (Norwalk, Conn.) took second with a time of 5:38.83, and freshman
Georgienna Driver (West Haven, Conn.) placed third by finishing in 5:55.28.
The Owls were also victorious in the 100 yard butterfly, as sophomore
Miranda Gursky (Watertown, Conn.) took the top spot with a time of 1:07.52. Freshman
Sydney Fromkin (Sharon, Mass.) came in right behind her with a second place time of 1:08.95.
A pair of Owls took home the top two spots in the 400 yard IM, with freshman
Lilly Martin (Bristol, Conn.) (5:01.81) and sophomore
Molly Soufrine (Branford, Conn.) (5:17.88) leading the Owls.
The Owls also took the top two spots in the meet's final women's event, the 200 yard freestyle relay. The team of Fromkin, sophomore
Katherine Krajcik (Stratford, Conn.), Lavery and Smolensky took first place with a finish of 1:46.42. The second Owls' relay team of freshman
Kayla Laydon (North Haven, Conn.), Gursky, sophomore
Katelyn Ray (Oxford, Conn.) and freshman
Jessica Demirs (Oakville, Conn.) completed the one-two sweep in 1:55.56.
Lavery also took third place in the 200 yard freestyle in 2:03.27.
Freshman
Aubrey Bailey (El Cajon, Calif.) placed second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.57.
Silva added a third place finish with a 1:12.29 performance in the 100 yard breaststroke.
Crochet placed second in two freestyle events, finishing the 50 yard freestyle in 25.02, before touching in 55.33 in the 100 yard event.
The Owls will host their annual Senior Day at tomorrow's against Connectiuct College at Hutchinson Natatorium. The 10 seniors from both the men's and women's teams will be honored with a ceremony prior to the meet's 1 p.m. start.
