SCSU Student-Athletes, Coaches and Staff Participate In 'Jail N Bail' To Benefit Special Olympics of Connecticut

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Student-athletes, coaches and staff from the Southern Connecticut State University athletic department took part in the Annual Jail N Bail event on Thursday. Jail N Bail is a campus-wide effort spearheaded by the SCSU Police Department and Beta Mu Sigma Fraternity. Athletic department representatives served as judges or were 'jailed' before posting 'bail' that went to the fundraising cause.

This event is just one example of many community outreach events that SCSU student-athletes take part in on an annual basis. SCSU student-athletes volunteered more than 4,000 hours of their time to numerous outreach efforts, both on-campus and in Greater New Haven, during the 2014-15 academic year.
