2016-17 Schedule
The Southern Connecticut State University women's swimming and diving team will compete in three meets this week beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 10 against Marist College at 6 p.m., followed by the College of Saint Rose on Friday, Jan.13 at 2:30 p.m.and Le Moyne College on Saturday. Jan. 14 at 12:30 p.m.

Lilly Martin finished first in the 200 butterfly (2:19.16), the 200 yard breaststroke (2:34.77), and the 400 yard individual medley (4:50.20). Sophomore

Senior
Katherine Crochet finished first with her performance in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 55.6. Freshman
Hannah Morse finished first in the 200 yard backstroke in 2:13.85 and junior
Lilly Martin finished first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.54. As a team, the Owls took first place in the 200 yard freestyle medley relay with a time of 1:42.36. SCSU placed second in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:53.04.
A LOOK BACK AT THE SEASON OPENER
The Owls finished third in the season opener tri-meet against West Chester and Shippensburg. Senior
Katherine Crochet finished in third place in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.37 and the 100 freestyle in 55.61. Junior
Sydney Fromkin placed third in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 19:18.99. As a team, the Owls recorded a fourth place finish in the 200 freestyle relay in 1:43.52, the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:56.69 and the 800 freestyle relay in 8:32.11.

LOOKING BACK AT LAST YEAR
The Owls posted their 13
th straight top-three finish at the Northeast-10 Championships with a second place showing. The Owls also finished fourth at the Metropolitan Championships and had two student-athletes qualify for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

KRAJCIK EARNS SECOND NE-10 ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM HONOR
For the second year in a row,
Katherine Krajcik was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Swimming and Diving All-Academic Team for her work in the pool and in the classroom last year.
CROCHET EXCELS IN AND OUT OF THE POOL
Katherine Crochet was named to the Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) last season after a breakout junior season in 2015-16, culminating in two All-America honors (50 and 100 freestyle). She was also named the Most Outstanding Performer of the NE-10 Championship after capturing seven first place marks at the competition.
CROCHET A PRESEASON ALL-AMERICAN
Katherine Crochet has been named a preseason All-American by Collegeswimming.com after coming off a campaign in which she was named an All-American and the Northeast-10 Conference Swimmer of the Year, in addition to earning Most Outstanding Performer honors at the NE-10 Championship.
