NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Members of the Southern Connecticut State University men's and women's cross country and track teams spent time volunteering at the Robert Corda 5k Road Race on Homecoming morning this past Saturday. The group spent time with registration, logistics, assisting the events and cheering on all the participants.

This event is just one example of many community outreach events that SCSU student-athletes take part in on an annual basis. SCSU student-athletes volunteered roughly 2,500 hours of their time to numerous outreach efforts, both on-campus and in Greater New Haven, during the 2016-17 academic year.
