NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Junior
Devante Teixeira (Boston, Mass.) tallied three assists as the Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team cruised past Nyack in a 5-0 non-conference win. This is the Owls second clean sheet in a row as they defeated Saint Michael's 1-0 earlier in the week.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southern offense sprung to life early in the game as Francisco Roldan Martin (Malaga, Spain) opened the scoring in the 10th minute of play off a beautiful assist from the right side to give Roldan an open net to score on.
- Daniel Utgaard (Kristiansand, Norway) scored the second goal of the game in the 28th minute off a pass from Teixeira to double the Owls lead.
- The Owls scored added three more goals to their lead in the second half. Ignasi Perez Cererols (Barcelona, Spain) scored his third goal of the year off an assist from Teixeira, his third assist of the game, 3-0.
- Nicolas Ruiz Colodrero (Zaragoza, Spain) scored off a free kick taken by Cererols. Lukas Szymecki (Wethersfield, Conn.) scored a unassisted goal dribbling inside a defender and slotted the ball into the back of the net to complete the Owls 5-0 win.
