WEST HAVEN, Conn. – The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision to cross-town rival, the University of New Haven at DellaCamera Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Owls struck first as senior Natasha Prukalski (Danbury, Conn.) knocked in a rebound for her second goal of the season at 38:48 to give the Owls a 1-0 lead early into the second half.
- UNH would strike next as the Chargers Reilly Bialko put a ball in top shelf to tie the game at 40:02. The Chargers would score with 4 seconds remaining in the game to capture the victory at DellaCamera Stadium, 2-1.
- Both teams racked up 12 shots, while UNH collected 13 penalty corners to SCSU's 9 penalty corners. Prukalski, the Owls lone goal scorer, collected three of the 12 shots, while senior Jacqueline Touzos (Foxboro, Mass) also tallied three and senior Jana Migliaro (Monroe, Conn.) and sophomore Chloe Knight (New Milford, Conn.) collected two apiece.
- Junior Brianna Craft (Hamden, Conn.) collected six saves in the Owls loss.

The Owls head to Rindge, N.H. for a conference matchup with the Ravens of Franklin Pierce on Saturday at 2 p.m. before returning home for two conference matchups against Pace and Merrimack the following week.
