Southern Connecticut Athletic Communications will be featuring student-athletes from various teams throughout the remainder of the Spring semester and into the Summer months. First up is SCSU Softball sophomore Jacqueline Dumont (Nashua, N.H.). Dumont's second season with the Owls was off to a sizzling start as the second-year catcher was hitting .391 (9-for-23) with a team-leading three home runs and 10 RBI in seven games played. The highlight of her 2020 season was a two-homer day against Lock Haven in which she was 2-for-3 with three RBI and three runs scored.

What is your favorite tv show?	New Girl
What is your favorite movie?	I love all Disney movies.
If someone made a movie about you, who would play your character? Why?	I'd play myself because no one in the world is like me.
What professional athlete inspires you? Why?	Tom Brady - BECAUSE HE IS THE G.O.A.T.!!!!
Why did you choose Southern Connecticut? What set it apart from the other schools you visited?	Southern has such an amazing atmosphere and is a good-size campus with the perfect major for me ...AND i get to play softball.
What's your favorite course that you've taken at Southern Connecticut and why?	INQ. It got me through my freshman year with ease.
What does wearing the SCSU logo mean to you?	Wearing the SCSU logo means I represent an amazing school with great sports teams and awesome academics.
Who is your funniest teammate and why?	Jayden Delaporte because she is always hyped up of caffeine and fun to be around!
What's your favorite inspirational quote?	"Fail Fast and Move On."
What is your favorite cereal?	Cocoa Puffs
What's the strangest talent you have?	I can clean very fast.
What are three things on your bucket list?	Travel to all the Virgin Islands, France and Spain.
