Southern Connecticut Athletic Communications will be featuring student-athletes from various teams throughout the remainder of the Spring semester and into the Summer months. Next up is SCSU Baseball junior Joe Nemchek (Trumbull, Conn.). The left handed pitcher had a 1-1 record this season with 21 strikeouts in three appearances.

Why did you choose Southern Connecticut? What set it apart from the other schools you visited?	Close to my family. Also really connected with the coaches.
What's your favorite course that you've taken at Southern Connecticut and why?	Esc 111, Because I got to visit the Peabody museum
What does wearing the SCSU logo mean to you?	Hard work. Confidence. And to never settle.
Who is your funniest teammate and why?	Tommy, because his jokes get me laughing all practice
