Southern Connecticut Athletic Communications will be featuring student-athletes from various teams throughout the remainder of the spring semester and into the summer months. Next up is SCSU Football redshirt senior Sidney Jones (Hartford, Conn.). Over the course of his career, Jones has recorded 82 tackles in 30 career games, including a career-high nine against University of New Haven on Sept. 29, 2017.

Nickname. What do your teammates call you? Why?	Sid, Ca$hout King because that's the name of my clothing line
What is your favorite tv show?	Atlanta on FX
What is your favorite movie?	The Avengers Series
If someone made a movie about you, who would play your character? Why?	I think I would have to play it myself. I'm a decent actor and I think just being able to have those real emotions creates a compelling film to watch.
What professional athlete inspires you? Why?	LeBron. To come from an area that's not known for success and overall good sometimes, and take that as inspiration and fuel your drive to be the athlete and businessman that he is, it let's me know that I can be the same way. I want to be the person who helps make Hartford beautiful again.
Why did you choose Southern Connecticut? What set it apart from the other schools you visited?	That family style environment. It always felt that it was a close group. From the football team to the professors and students. I came from a school where my graduating class was only about 30 kids, so it was very family oriented. That combined with the great journalism program and Coach Godek and I was all in on SC!
What's your favorite course that you've taken at Southern Connecticut and why?	I'd have to say my script writing course last semester. Just being able to create stories and let your creativity flow is some of the most therapeutic practices you can do.
What does wearing the SCSU logo mean to you?	It means that I'm a part of a deep history. Every time I wear that jersey it means I'm trying to do our past alums proud. SCSU Football has had 70 plus years of greatness and just to be a part of that is a great moment. I'm blessed to be playing for such a great school.
Who is your funniest teammate and why?	It would have to be Kwadir Delgado-Mcintyre and Kobe Wiggins. Those are probably my two closest teammates on the team right now. Anytime all 3 of us get together we have a fun time. Me and Kwad even have a handshake we do at the start of games that catches the crowds attention. I love to laugh with those guys.
What's your favorite inspirational quote?	John 8:12 "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
What is your favorite cereal?	Honey Bunches of Oats with Strawberries
What are three things on your bucket list?	Travel to Brazil, Go to Fenway Park, Meet Donald Glover
If you could have any one superpower, which would you choose?	Immortality
If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why?	Monkey. They're awesome. Plus they are like the closest animals to humans and so I wanna be able to almost be human as much as possible.
