MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team fell to Southern New Hampshire University, 4-2. The Owls fall to 2-10 overall and 2-7 in the Northeast 10, while the Penmen improve to 3-8 overall and 3-6 in the NE10.

How It Happened
- Southern New Hampshire opened the scoring with a late goal in the first quarter.
- Sophomore Brianna Caffrey (Hampton, Conn.) tied the game four minutes into the second quarter. The Penmen responded with three straight goals over the next five minutes of the quarter to take the lead.
- Junior Grace Conselyea (Milford, Pa.) got Southern within two goals off an assist from sophomore Brianna Shaw.
- The Penmen's second quarter push proved to be the difference as they went on to win 4-2.

- Brianna Shaw picked up her third and fourth assists of the season on the Caffrey and Conselyea goals. She is on a two-game point streak.
- Grace Conselyea recorded her first career goal for the Owls.
