COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Southern Connecticut State University field hockey team fell to Saint Michael's College, 4-2, at Duffy Field. The Owls falls to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the Northeast 10, while the Purple Knights improve to 4-6 overall and 3-3 in the NE10.

How It Happened
- Saint Michael's struck first, Bridgie Loughlin scored her seventh goal of the season with a tip-in at 1:23 of the first quarter. Junior Kaitlyn Bourque (Enfield, Conn.) scored the equalizer at 11:33, as she tipped in a shot from junior Grace Conselyea (Milford, Pa.) on a penalty corner.Â
- After a scoreless second quarter, sophomore Brianna Shaw (Branford, Conn.) gave the Owls the go-ahead goal off a feed from graduate student Megan Habakangas (Columbia, Conn.).Â
- The Purple Knights went on to score three unanswered goals with one in the third quarter and two in the fourth.
